Kumquat

📍 11200 Base Line Rd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701, USA
Kumquat Public
🗓 Season: November · December · January · February
🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep orange-gold; eaten whole — the sweet rind offsets the tart flesh. Ripe when uniformly orange, slightly soft, and very fragrant. The entire fruit is edible raw.
filled with kumquats once a year - it can appear any season of the year - it fluctuates so much. The kumquats taste great like a small orange (of course not exactly - it's a kumquat), are large, and there's abundance on these plants. If you don't pick them - the government will - and who knows if they trash it. These are where your taxpayer dollars go - might as well take what's yours and available to you. Think of it as something given back for your hard work.
