🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
In the fall there are two heavily laden apple trees down the left field line at black creek park. Park on the east end of the parking lot and walk between the dugout and the fence. Its a public park and no one harvests them.
