🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep blue-purple with a silvery bloom; stem scar (not stem) at the top. Taste is the best test — a truly ripe blueberry is sweet and has no pink flesh inside. Let the cluster go fully blue before picking the whole thing.
Delicious blueberries along the Cedar Creek. Launch your canoe or kayak in Double Trouble State Park off the Cedar Creek Access RD (little parking is available, so get there early). Once you get to the end of the access canal and start heading downstream there will be ample blueberries on your left. Enjoy!
