digger pine forests along this road. some of the trees drop cones onto the roadside, easy to collect the cones but a little work to get the seeds out, but totally worth it. i've seen cones the size of footballs ( american football, not soccer) a short walk off the roadway. also old growth oaks grow here too if you are interested in acorns
