🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
A mature apple tree/s sporting yellow apples noticed in winter while passing in my car. (fruit not tasted yet)
I did taste these apples finally in fall of 2016.. they were quite awful tasting.. what a disappointment.
