🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black when ripe; intensely flavoured and juicy. Spread a tarp and shake the tree — ripe fruits fall immediately. Stains everything permanently — wear old clothes. Do not pick unripe red berries (mildly hallucinogenic).
Across on the otherside of the small unnamed road at the corner of washington st. there is a law firm called "Haines and Yost"
the mulberry tree is on the otherside of a waist high fence in which one can walk over, around aug to sept. you can see the berries all over the ground.
