🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, silvery-speckled red berries in clusters. Ripe when deep red and slightly soft; tart-sweet flavour. Very high in lycopene. Good for jam; note this is an invasive species in North America.
Park near Kewaunee Fabrications/Marshland walk and walk down the Ahnapee Trail. You will find loads of Autumn Olives in the fall on the north side of the trail. If you continue to follow the trail toward Bruemmer Park you will find more after going under River Road. Very yummy!
