🔍 When is it ripe?
Green outer husk splits and darkens; nuts fall or shake loose. Remove husks immediately and cure for 2 weeks to develop full flavour. Gloves prevent staining.
There's a walnut tree in someone's yard that has a lot of overhang to public land. I can't remember if (coming from Westminster Ave W) it is before Rene Ave or after but it's easy to find by walking along the road. If you come from Westminster Ave W it is on the right side of the road.
