🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark purple-black variety. Ripe when the skin is very dark, fruit droops, and feels soft throughout. Very sweet — harvest promptly as they attract wasps and birds.
There us a fig tree on the corner that is on the corner home's property but never seems to be fully harvested. Found some lovely ripe ones last September.
