Deep red to purple-black when fully ripe. Falls naturally. Tart-sweet flavour. Spread cloth below and shake. Stains permanently.
Several mulberry trees located on the lawn of the Carnegie Library in Oakland. All are on public land and have been pruned for years so that they are very short with few branches but produce abundant fruit
