🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Vigorous young mulberry tree at the corner of fence next to daycare facility. Great amount of berries every Spring; may be on daycare property, but never had any trouble. Been visiting the tree for several years now....
