English oak

English oak Public
A fairly large specimen (at least for what I have come across thus far in Hamilton) which produces ample crops of seed every 2-4 years. Acorns must be leached of their tannins before being dried, ground and roasted and used in baking or porridge. Acorns are large, often free of insect damage and have a comparatively low tannin content.
