🔍 When is it ripe?
Grey-green skin stays the same colour regardless of ripeness — rely on feel and drop. Ripe when it falls naturally from the tree or gives to gentle squeeze. Interior jelly turns clear from white. Intensely aromatic, pineapple-guava flavour.
Large Feijoa bushes. Prolific and tasty.
Wash well before eating or don't eat the skin, they are right next to the highway and highways quickly coat things in tire dust and other invisible grossness.
