🔍 When is it ripe?
Green husks turn brown and split; nuts drop naturally. Gather promptly before wildlife. Kernels should be plump and cream-coloured. Dry before storing.
Right between the path and the lake. These area lot of work to open (you'll need a hammer and a hard surface) and there's not much meat, but they're tasty and free!
