🔍 When is it ripe?
Green outer husk splits and darkens; nuts fall or shake loose. Remove husks immediately and cure for 2 weeks to develop full flavour. Gloves prevent staining.
The walnuts are little green golfball sized fruits. Try avoid any with dark or brown spots because they will be rotten on the inside. Be very careful because the oil from the walnuts shells WILL stain your hands if you are not careful. Wear heavy duty gloves because the stains will not wash off if it gets on your hands.
