🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Growing along creek. Easiest accessed via Balmain st park, but you can also walk along the river from the Brent St park. Take care with loose rocks when crossing the creek.
