🔍 When is it ripe?
Flowers (white, fragrant clusters) are edible in May and can be eaten raw, fried in batter, or made into syrup. The seeds and green pods are toxic — do not eat. Harvest flowers only.
A few trees here on the North side of the VA Capital Trail, just east of Laburnum. Flowers are edible and delicious. Leaves and other plant parts are toxic; do not eat!
