🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Follow trails from behind Vermont College dorms, near Yestermorrow building. Trails will lead down to a creek, either through the pine forest or to the left. Follow trail from creek, go left where the trail splits. There are many blackberry picking spots in Sabin's Pasture, but this is a general area. Don't overpick, as many people enjoy picking here.
