🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully orange and heavy for its size. Skin yields slightly when squeezed. Fruit will hang on the tree well past colour development without falling — taste-test for sweetness.
two orange trees, both seem healthy but one is bigger than the other (and more fruitful). owners allow outside picking, and trees overhang public land. you can also pick without being seen from the owner's house.
