🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark blue-black clusters when ripe. Cook thoroughly before eating — raw berries are mildly toxic. Ripe when all berries are dark and clusters hang downward.
Several elder trees along the track by the allotments. Made eldeflower and lemon verbena cordial earlier in the year. Should be plenty of ripe berries later
