🔍 When is it ripe?
Green in October (oil forming), turning purple-black November–December. Harvest for oil when 50% black; for table olives, pick to match intended colour. Must be cured in brine or lye — extremely bitter raw.
Approximately 12 olive trees on the north side of Bullard Avenue. These are trees on city owned property that are from when the neighborhood was all fig orchards and olive trees were used to line the roads.
