🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
In Burncoat Park behind Wawecus School. A row of about a dozen apple trees. Different varieties. You can see them behind the fence traveling west on North Parkway from Lincoln St. Access to the park is from Davids Rd. off Burncoat St., or North Parkway.
