🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep orange-gold; eaten whole — the sweet rind offsets the tart flesh. Ripe when uniformly orange, slightly soft, and very fragrant. The entire fruit is edible raw.
Outside of this mall there are a lot of Kumquat trees. Along Town Center Drive they are in individual very large planters next to the stores on the side. They are also planted in the ground on the other side of the mall in front of the Apple store. I found a few ripe ones on January 19th, 2020, but there were a lot of green ones still, should be ripe soon.
