🔍 When is it ripe?
Small apples ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange by variety. Very tart raw but excellent for jelly and cider. Ripe when the colour is fully developed and the fruit lifts off with a gentle twist.
Several crabapple trees, very prolific fruiters - The cultech program does use some for classes in the fall, so it's probably a good idea to ask before picking to make sure they've got all they need.
