Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Mulberry tree by the bridge over the creek. Can usually reach some from the bridge. Another giant mulberry tree in the park across the street, although harder to reach.
