🔍 When is it ripe?
Yellow, fragrant, and very hard when ripe — not soft like apples. Look for a deep golden-yellow colour and a strong quince aroma. Inedible raw (very astringent); excellent for jam, paste, and jelly after cooking.
Yellow fruit, assumed to be quince. I did not do a positive ID as I am not familiar with the species, but the fruit intrigued me!
I think they are supposed to be a flowering cultivar, but some are producing fruit.
