Husk browns and pulls back; nuts shake free. Gather daily from the ground before squirrels. Dry well before storing.
There is quite a couple of hazelnut trees in this little corner. Also a pear tree, but seems to be attacked by some desease and didnt have much fruit last time I visited... Hazelnuts are perfect though
