🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Forest of apple trees. Technically intended for the residents but no way they'd eat them all and it's a passage way open to the public running though it. So a free for all.
