🔍 When is it ripe?
Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Grove of plums just south of the small bridge that goes to the disc golf park. They might be red prairie plums, much sweeter and larger than standard wild plums, though similar coloration. About golf ball sized instead of cherry sized
