🔍 When is it ripe?
Unlike apples, pears ripen from the inside out. Harvest when the skin colour lightens and the fruit separates with a gentle upward twist. Ripen off the tree at room temperature — leave on a counter until the neck yields to thumb pressure.
Pear tree. The pears are very sweet and they have brownish-golden skin. Please ask before you pick and make sure to leave enough for others and wildlife<3
If you go later then beware of hornets and bees. Prime season is usually late august - mid-September. Sometimes it's earlier sometimes it's much later.
