🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark blue-black clusters when ripe. Cook thoroughly before eating — raw berries are mildly toxic. Ripe when all berries are dark and clusters hang downward.
A few good sized elderberry bushes on the North slope of the hill, roughly across from the dog park. Flowers make an excellent tea and berries are nutritious!
