🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright to dark red haws. Harvest when fully red and slightly soft. Young leaves (May) and flowers are also edible. Haws best for jelly; one large seed per berry.
Several large trees - gathered about 2 gallons of haw berries earlier this year and you couldn't even tell some had been taken. They made great scones.
