🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Nice little apple tree by side of path. A few brambles and nettles around the base, so if you want to pick from the back, bring sturdy clothing for your legs!
Not to many on the tree Aug 2018, but I grabbed one and ate it and it was nice, almost sour but I ate the whole thing and would come back for more.
