Dark blue-black clusters when ripe. Cook thoroughly before eating — raw berries are mildly toxic. Ripe when all berries are dark and clusters hang downward.
the elderberry is tucked in behind some other trees.
with so much construction going on in this area, who knows how long this set of mature food trees will last. very accessible. same group of trees.
