🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple with a dusty bloom when ripe. Flesh softens and detaches cleanly from the stone. Sweet, rich flavour. Drops to the ground when fully ripe — check beneath the tree daily.
Appears to be a prune-type plum in the sidewalk strip. Lots of fruit hanging first week of August but not ripe yet. Looks like they need at least a few more weeks.
