🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Plentiful blackberries available in the following locations:
- along the road in and out of Ivy Creek Park
- along the mown paths above the playground area at the top of the park
- along the path leading down to the pond, particularly on the steep hillside about halfway down
- at the bottom and southwest side of the mowed hill that starts at the parking lot and ends at the creek
