🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, orange to yellow fruits in large bunches near the base of fronds. Ripe when fully orange and falls freely. Flavour is apricot and pineapple; very high in pectin — excellent jelly. Short window in summer.
1 or 2 Pindo Palms in front of Oleander Self Storage. Pindo palms are a cold-hardy palm that produces edible fruit. Tastes tropical, like mango or pineapple. Can be fiberous.
