🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, oval, dark blue-purple. Intensely tart raw — best after first frost or for cooking. Fully ripe when skin darkens completely and fruit gives to pressure. Excellent for jam and gin.
Several trees are located on the border of this old Victorian garden. Easily accessed by following the stream but the surrounding area can become very boggy.
