🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Tall mulberry tree right on the edge of the bridge over the highway. Sweet, sometimes tart dark purple berries when ripe. Delicious to eat plain, also good for natural dye-making.
