Apple (Malus)

📍 10 Gore Ave, Elma, WA 98541, USA
Apple (Malus)
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Not sure who owns this but have picked fruit from apple multiple seasons and nobody has said anything just be respectful. Not sure what variety. Tree is across the street from the Malone assembly church. Huge tree grows giant apples. Not bad for eating, great in baking. Ground fruit could be good for feeding pigs or goats.
