🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
There are blackberry bushes all along the side of Connally St. Most of the bushes are on the sloped side of Connally ST (the side where the Jehova's Witness Church is). Most of the bushes are a bit tricky to get to because you have to get up the sloped edge to pick.
