🔍 When is it ripe?
The green husk splits into four sections and turns brown when ripe. Shake branches or wait for fall. Cure in a cool, dry place for 2–3 weeks. Kernels should be full and not shrivelled.
Office building complex with about 12 pecan trees. For those that live by or pass by frequently, I recommend that you keep an eye out for the heavy fruit season in November before they start mowing and raking. Because it is commercial I think that they tend to clean up frequently to keep up the landscape.
Don't forget to check in the plant beds for nuts!
When I went it was already late in the season (late December) so I just got a few stragglers here and there. Still good!
