🔍 When is it ripe?
Unlike apples, pears ripen from the inside out. Harvest when the skin colour lightens and the fruit separates with a gentle upward twist. Ripen off the tree at room temperature — leave on a counter until the neck yields to thumb pressure.
Pear tree directly in front and to the right (north) of main apt building entrance. Delicious, large, green pears - remember that pears ripen off the tree, so they will be very firm when picked. Leave on counter for 2-3 days!
