Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Didn't know this was a Mulberry tree while growing up, thought they were just berries. The tree is on the edge of the road and the field. Has fairly nice yield
