🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep black and pulls free with zero resistance. Juicy and sweet; no red remaining at the core. Harvest in the morning when cool.
I’ve been picking from these August bushes for 20 years. Less plenty than when I was a child, but still so much good foraging.
