🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
5-6 serviceberries in private parking lot near District Winery - heavy fruiting in late May 2019 with low cedar apple rust or bird pressure
