American plum · Apple (Malus pumila 'Jonagold') · Apricot · Peach (Prunus persica 'Amsden')
📍 502 S Hickory St, Searcy, AR 72143, USA
🗓 Season: August · September · June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
American plum: Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Apricot: Golden-orange colour all over; red blush is fine but green means unripe. Gives slightly under thumb pressure and separates cleanly from the pit. Sweet, floral aroma. Short window — harvest daily once they start colouring.
This is The Orchard Project’s third community orchard located across from The Maple House Community Garden. Newly planted in the summer of 2019.
