🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Good blackberries, very big bramble, hangs way over fence on undeveloped property.
Note that this property has DDT contamination from the 70s from the nursery that used to be here. Near the street probably isn't so bad.
