🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
If you are staring at the Post Office from Jefferson, head down the side-street to your right, hugging the P.O. building. There is an amazing apple tree with giant apples growing between the building and the road!
