🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully orange and heavy for its size. Skin yields slightly when squeezed. Fruit will hang on the tree well past colour development without falling — taste-test for sweetness.
I believe these are valencia oranges but am not sure. The staff says people are allowed to pick them - no need for permission, being in a semi-public area. If not, they fall to the ground.
